In memory of Chris Diamond, Jim Larson, and Punch Martyn, the Clubs have created the Chris, Jim and Punch Summer Camp Fund to ensure that cost will never be a barrier for families in the valley who want their children to attend the Clubs.
Our Clubs mourn the loss of three influential men, community leaders and true believers in our work at the Boys & Girls Clubs: Chris Diamond, Jim Larson and Punch Martyn. Their wives, Eileen, Susan and Penny, are longtime board members and committee chairs of our largest Club fundraiser, the Be Great Bash. These families have given so much to our youth through the Clubs.
Chris, Jim and Punch all attended Club events supported the Clubs’ mission: To enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Diamond, Larson and Martyn families have advocated for the youth of our community in support of the Clubs since their inception in 2009.
Summer camp at the Clubs costs approximately $75 per child per week, with 10 full weeks of fun available. Camp starts daily at 7:30 am and ends at 6:00 pm Monday – Friday. During the day, our youth find friends, dynamic programs, caring adult mentors and community experiences. Summer means fun, and these camps bring fun.
Chris, Jim and Punch would be honored and gratified to see this scholarship fund grow in their memory. Your donation to the Chris, Jim and Punch Scholarship Fund will help our local youth stay engaged and have more fun as a result of attending summer camp at BGC.
